If you wanna check other options I highly recommend to demo U.he synths, Diva specially has a very warm sound and IMHO it offers something Live internal synths just don't. Ni is also one fo the best companies when it comes to stability (Arturia not so much). Massive is very capable of a wide range of sounds. Remember I originally just wanted Massive and upsold myself twice to Komplete 11 Select (which includes Massive) and then Maschine Micro which happens to include Komplete Select. Thanks for the heads up but I think Maschine Studio Might be a bit overkill for my needs right now. The cost, constant update/stability headaches and clunky VST integration (at least compared to native devices) simply don't seem worth it.īoddAH wrote:Wow. They have the reputation of not being top notch for some reason but at least I know them well and have a lot of fun programming them. The native Live 9 Suite devices and my various Ableton Sampler Sound Packs really grew on me. Sometimes less is more, especially for a relative beginner. The editing possibilities seem very deep but again that's not necessarily a good thing. I just tried the demo and the presets didn't impress me that much, it really seems to be geared more towards aggressive modern electronic music. I'm not so sure about Massive anymore anyway.
